Always Under Pressure is the leading distributor of pressure washers, cabinet washers, parts washers and wash water pre-treatment and recycle systems in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Always Under Pressure was created with the merging of two highly respected local distributors - Hotsy Bay Area and Kleen Quip.

David R. Wyett founded Kleen Quip 1979, out of his home garage and grew the company to be the second largest distributor in the Bay Area. Hotsy Bay Area was founded in the late 1960's and was recently owned by Charlene Laymon from 1986 until 2000. Under Charlene's management, Hosty Bay Area tripled in size to become the largest distributor in the Bay Area.

Even as the two companies were local competitors, David and Charlene joined forces in the late 80's, to become fundamental in founding a national distributor association called The Association of Pressure Washer Distributors (APD). APD formed a partnership with the national manufacturer association, CEMA, to become The Cleaning Equipment Trade Association (CETA). This organization initiated industry UL safety standards that have been implemented by major pressure washer manufacturers, including Landa and Hotsy.

Both David and Charlene were highly instrumental in helping set local industry standards by writing The Best Management Practices (BMPs) for the San Francisco Bay Area. These documents are still used today by local mobile cleaners and water districts. CETA recognized this significant accomplishment by bestowing a Distinguished Service Award for their contributions.
